My Story

My name is Grace Cheung and I am a physiotherapist with a penchant for playing music in Vancouver, Canada. At the tender age of four, I was started on the violin with the Suzuki Method at the Vancouver Academy of Music and my musical pursuits have never stopped. While pursuing classical education in violin, piano and music theory with the Royal Conservatory of Music, opportunities arose in playing regularly in the local church services, arenas with Canto-pop legends, and countless church halls with various orchestras. My most recent venture was recording a gospel-Americana EP with bluegrass leanings, on which I played guitar and a hint of cello.

I have had the privilege of working with athletes and musicians of all ranges: Olympians, professional musicians, adult learners and young, talented musicians who are launching their careers in music. I also assist in teaching orthopaedic physiotherapy clinical skills classes at the University of British Columbia. One of my most memorable interviews was with a group that wanted to learn how to head-bang safely (preventing neck injury) while shredding on their guitars.
